Halloween sucks

Can I just tell you that I must be a little down. Yesterday was just CHOATIC. Not like my normal choais of having 4 kids and both Kevin and Erik gone so I am alone. It was like I want to cry choatic. So Mikaela was supposed to go trick or treating with her friend Zoe well around 5 I still haven't heard from O'Neal (Zoes mom) so we call her. I have Avery so Stacy is kinda looking for me. Well O'Neal was just getting off work and had to run and get a costume for her youngest son and then get the kids from daycare. I knew that would be a min of an hour so I told O'Neal I need to call Stacy and ask her what to do with Avery. If I wouldn't have had Avery I would have went with O'Neal but to go to base and then backtrack plus Stacy would've had no one to go with her seeing as Gary had surgery and Gary's dad handed out candy. So anyhow as soon as I call Stacy all hell breaks lose AJ and Avery kept going at it. Julianna refused to wear her orange shirt and was screaming, so she wore Mikaela's voilet (from the incredibles) shirt. Mikaela was throwing a fit since she wasn't getting to go with Zoe. Matthew was getting upset from everything. Then Kevin calls and Erik is on the puter. I say by to Erik and keep talking to Kevin seeing as it was the only way I wasn't going to blow up at the kids. I get everyone in the car and head to base with full intent of calling O'Neal. Well I grab dinner and get to Stacys I eat in about 3 min and all the kids bust out of the house and just head down the street. So I quick take off with Stacy to chase the kids it is about 5:45 at this time. Well Mikaela had went off with some friends she has on base. So all was good. Stacy and I had fun chasing 7 kids under 6 in the dark. They did pretty good there were only a couple of times we got really frustrated. We got back around 7:30 (that was only going about 3 blocks). Then Mikaela got back about 20 min later. Then I ran Stacy up to her van (it broke and was at the shop) to get Garys pain meds. Finally I headed home at 8:15 and Julianna and Matthew screamed the whole way. Julianna finally passed out about 2 blocks from home and woke up as soon as we got in the driveway. I got the big girls in bed and just sat down I felt so drained. Julianna kept getting into the candy so I finally went to bed and just took Julianna with me. She fought sleep for forever and Matthew just wanted to sleep on the boob. I finally got Matthew in his bassinet and PASSED out. He ended up back in bed with me at 3am, but 10-3 was nice. I finally checked the phone O'Neal called at 6pm last night so I had Mikaela call back this morning a leave a message saying sorry. I feel horrible for not calling her. Oh well only one more holiday to survive alone. I am really over it. Halloween hasn't been fun in years. Of the 8 years Erik has been in the Navy he has been home for 3 and one of them he got home that day. I have never been a huge fan and I feel horrible since my kids are so excited and I just never really get into it. I think having to do it alone is the other thing. Only another month but I know it will feel like forever then it is never a big deal when it is over.
Julianna is completely potty trained now so now I have a bunch of diapers to save for Matthew at least I was getting Julianna Cars pullups! I also somewhere in my pea brain thought that it was a good idea to get a kitten. She is great with the kids but hates the dogs. Hopefully that works itself out. The girls got their reports cards they did great so no complaints there. Well I am off to get some chores done before running the kitty to the vet.
